Ana Millar
Hi, I’m Ana! I’m a teaching assistant here at Accents. I got my first piano – a little plastic Casio – for my second birthday, and I’ve been playing ever since. Music has always been a big part of my life, whether it was listening to CDs on road trips with my parents, singing along to Korean folk songs with my mom, or taking classes around the city.
I started taking piano lessons when I was five. Since then, I’ve enjoyed competing and performing. So far, I have three first-place finishes at the Kiwanis Music Festival. I also have some experience playing the saxophone.
As a student at Ecole du Carrefour in Dartmouth, I was student council president and served on the Youth Advisory Council. Now I’m enjoying my first year at Ecole Secondaire Mosaique. I’m also a part-time tutor. Each week, I meet online with a student in Korea and teach her French and English. It’s been a lot of fun, just like our classes at Accents.
Apart from piano, I love dancing, drawing, and reading mysteries. Most days in summer you’ll find me paddling on Lake Banook with Senobe Aquatic Club.
I can’t wait to meet you and your kids at Accents soon!
Ana is an Accents Music Learning Centre Teaching Assistant for our group classes! She has completed our Mentorship Program.
